SAP Emarsys Integration with CDC and Commerce Cloud

Hello CX Community,

I have a case, where I would like to integrate CDC with Emarsys and Commerce. I have integrated Emarsys and CDC through the real-time connector. Furthermore, I understand that Emarsys can only handle one external ID, therefore integration with the Commerce plugin will not work. If I need these events from Commerce, is there a workaround? Is it then recommended using the Emarsys API, for instance: https://dev.emarsys.com/docs/core-api-reference/39rrldcc17zoa-create-an-external-event

Hello markjeld,

this limitation is known and we work on more flexibility; we plan to make both integrations compatible within Q1/2024.

There isn't any blocker when you use Emarsys API and integrate these Commerce's actions via "Emarsys External Events" because this method doesn't use "External ID Field"
