You are already perfectly prepared - using the released apis (the ones you find via 'use_in_cloud_development') and using the cloud-optimized 'abap for cloud development' language version you are following all the paradigmes of the ABAP Cloud development model. 
Sorry if there is confusion about "developer extensibility", that term is to express the difference between the persona "business expert/key user" in contrast to "developer" when it comes to extensibility of SAP S/4 HANA applications.
Thanks for sharing - great to hear that developers out there are already on it :-).
