Summary
In this webinar, we have Noboru Ota, exploring the latest additions and improvements in the Asset Management line of business with the new 2023 release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition. The priorities for the 2023 release are to assist businesses in achieving a closed loop between asset strategy and execution and to further enhance the core maintenance management capabilities.
For user experience, we will see system demonstrations on the new features added to mass editing, work packs printing, object lists modifications, and equipment structure configurations. Furthermore, we will look at significant improvements to the work permit process, with new Fiori apps simplifying user interactions to enhance safety measures and precautions throughout the maintenance procedure.
Key Features and Improvements
Key features and enhancements include:
- Mass Editing: We have added mass editing capabilities to an assortment of Fiori apps so that we can edit numerous entries simultaneously, providing a faster and more streamlined way to manage data.
- Printing and Output of Work Packs: We can now print multiple shop papers and job cards in one go. You can flexibly group them by various criteria such as work center, maintenance technician, or the technical object being maintained or repaired, and include attachments as part of the printout. This includes auto-attachment based on output and document types.
- Adding Object List Entries to Maintenance Items: With the ability to add, remove, or change object list entries within maintenance items, we can have better control and efficiency in managing data.
- Configuration of Equipment Structure: An easy way to configure the equipment structure. This feature includes the ability to install new components or dismantle existing ones and record the action details.
- Work Permit (Work Clearance Management): With the new Fiori apps, the work permit process is simplified, while still ensuring a safe work environment. This process can be customized as per the organization's needs and uses predefined templates for recurring safety measures. We can link a permit to maintenance orders and use the work permit for search and display it in the resultant list of maintenance orders.
