Time. This thing that we cannot see but we are extremely aware of. We count it, spend it, manage it, measure it, miss it, and sometimes unfortunately – waste it. With every milestone, holiday, season changes, day and night – we can't ignore or deny – more time has gone by. With time being the most precious commodity, completion of tasks, projects, and test are always defined within and measured within boundaries of… time – and the faster it is done – the greater the achievement. Living in such time-drive world, timesheet is key tool for recording and documenting time-consuming activities and tasks – not only for the purpose of calculating salary but also for measuring efficiency, performance, etc. To better support these purposes SAP Business One brings more flexibility to the timesheet by enabling you to assign Time Sheet Activity Types also when Project Management is not enabled (in Company Details > Basic Initialization tab):

This way, if relevant to your business, you can use activity types and maintain detailed and accurate timesheets without having to assign projects.
