We are pleased to announce the availability of the new version of the “SAP Activate Methodology for SAP S/4HANA Upgrade and Product Integration” roadmap, available now in the SAP Roadmap Viewer and SAP Cloud ALM.
We have gathered valuable feedback from project teams working on SAP S/4HANA upgrades and streamlined and renewed the roadmap to identify activities and tasks covering a purely technical upgrade much easier (nevertheless, we always recommend to consider a functional upgrade to make use of and benefit from the new functionality coming with the upgrade).
We have added a new filter "Technical Upgrade" in SAP Roadmap Viewer:
The updated roadmap graphic for technical upgrade shows all relevant activities:
Note that the technical upgrade only displays all activities marked in dark grey in the roadmap graphic above. If the light grey activities like Fit-to-Standard / Design, or Integration Design are required in your project, add the filter for “Upgrade with functional enhancements”.
For your convenience, we offer the offline document of the Roadmap for SAP S/4HANA upgrades in several versions - Roadmap for a technical upgrade of SAP S/4HANA containing all activities and tasks only covering the technical upgrade. You find the offline documents in the downloadable archive in the Roadmap Viewer.
In this downloadable archive, we also provide the project plan templates and a new overview slide deck listing all major activities, relevant tools and recommended SAP MaxAttention/Value Assurance services.
