Adding an extension field on the UI for Returns and Receipts

Hello everyone,

In the receipts and returns page, I would like to add an extra column to the UI that will display the amount (Net value) of the listed documents.

I followed the steps in an article related to creating extensions, but reached the step "show further usage" and can't figure out how to continue from there. Am I doing it wrong or just missing something?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Dear Charles,

There is no previous configuration or scoping needed in order to work with Extension Scenarios, all you need to do is follow these steps:

Creating the Extension Field (Not necessary if this has already been done)   

1. Navigate to a screen where you want to add the new field.

2. From the Adapt menu, select Enter Adaptation Mode.

3. In adaptation mode, select Edit Screen from the Adapt menu.

4. Click on the Extension Fields pane of the adaptation panel.

5. Select a section from the list, or alternatively, click directly on a section that has been enabled for extension fields on the screen.

6. Click Add.

7. Select a field type.

8. Enter a field label.

9. Save your changes.

10. Select the Visible checkbox next to the extension field to make it visible on the current screen.

11. Click Save.

If you want to use this field in any other screens, you can extend it via Extension Scenario

1. Navigate to the respective screen.

2. Select Adapt option (Top right corner) and choose Enter adaptation Mode.

3. Select Yes in the confirmation pop-up.

4. Again Select Adapt option and choose Edit Screen.

5. Select Extension Fields in Adapt section.

6. Highlight the Title under Sections Enabled for Extension Fields.

7. Highlight the Title of the field which you have created.

8. Select Further Usage link under section Field properties.

9. Select Extension Scenarios tab.

10. Here, you can decide in which business context you would like to have this field.

11. Select the respective row and select Add Field button.

12. Select Close button.

13. Select Publish button.
