Hi everyone,

i am in the middle of the migration concept in SAP and i would like your help with the SAP Standard of Open Items and their movement of General Ledger accounts and Subledger accounts related to migrate them from the old system to SAP ECC.

How does this migration of open items from the old version of SAP to SAP ECC happens?

Many thanks for your help!

Best regards,

Hi

I would assume you have a trial balance in the old system which is balancing out in term of credit and debit balances. Now please create the required master data like GL Account, Vendor and Customer Account, Material master and Asset Master in your ECC system

There after you can create one or more GL Account for your initial upload. When you have uploaded all the balances in the new ECC system, the new GL(s) should have a net balance of zero.

Open Item - vendor

You can pass an entry as below
Initial Upload A/c Dr

Vendor Account Cr

In case you have a debit entry it would be the other way round

Open Item - Customer

Customer A/c Dr

Initial Upload A/c Cr

Similarly you will upload for normal GL Accounts

Inventory Account:

You will have to assign the initial upload GL Account in your OBYC Configuration and than use MIGO to upload the inventory using movement type 561, which would create the below entry

Stock A/c Dr

Initial Upload A/c Cr

Asset Account

You create an upload tool using LSMW if you are on ECC. The below blog might be useful:
