How to avoid multiple PR type for approval purpose?

Hello,

I have near about 50 PR types due to various department for approval purpose.

and screen and functionality looks all same.

Now we want to remove all PR types and have only one PR type..

How will approach this?

Just a suggestion, first decide the required Doc Types and then go ahead and short close the PR's of the not required doc type and create the new PR's with a fresh approach. In the meantime, you can also go ahead and make required changes to your release strategy.

I would suggest not to delete the old PR doctypes and just ask Basis person to hide the old doc types using authorization.

But my ask his how to control the all PR in to one PR with multiple approval strategy with different department.

You just create different "Class and Characteristics" for the same PR Document type. This way you could have multiple different strategies for one type of document.

You could delete all the "type of documents" of PR and keep only the one you will use.

But, if you delete the "document type" of the PR already created, you will NOT be able to turn them in PO further on.
