When i make the field mandatory i am getting the below error.
A default value must be defined for a mandatory field.
How to resolve this.

If you created the field and flag the field as compulsory then the behaviour is as expected. What exactly is the requirement.
I have an add - on form with Date field. when i add the form date should not be empty. so while creating Date UDF , i am making the field as mandatory. when i do that i got above error.
