LSMW for retail article master

Hi all,

Recently I have to create retail article using LSMW by BAPI method shown as below.

Business Object  BUS1001001

Method               CLONE

Message Type     ARTMAS

Basic Type          ARTMAS06

In mm41, there is price control, moving price and standard price in Logistics DC view (accounting).

I can't update these fields using LSMW while the article can be created successfully.

What should I do? Please help me.

Are those fields open for maintenance if you create he article master manually?

Is your article subject to split valuation?

Did you only create the valuation segment and did not have a MARC segment?

Yes, those fields are opened for maintenance when I create the article manually.

Could you please explain more about MARC segment and valuation segment?

in the ARTMAS Idoc is a segment E1BPE1MARCRT which hold the plant data, and the segment E1BPE1MBEWRT has the valuation data.

And I know about an error if you create only valuation date but no plant data, see OSS note 1963729 - Separate valuation segments not created

However I actually do not really think that this is the problem in your case. If I understood correctly, then the accounting view got created, just the price fields were missing. Or was the valuation view already present and it was actually a change instead of a creation?
