Notification long text no longer has User's name or phone of person who added long text

We have upgraded to S/4 2021 and the User's nameand Phone number has been removed due to the GDPR (EU - General Data Protection Regulation). The issue we have is we are not part of the EU and this change wipes all the names from ALL the Notifications in our system. Our users now have to look up a Username to find out who added the long text to the Notification which is onerous.

My question is has anyone outside the EU been able to re-establish this information?

Further analysis has shown that existing Notifications keep the User's name as well as their User ID. This note only affects new long text added to either a new Notification or existing Notification.

I am not confident this will change back for us non EU Businesses 🙂

Yes I have read that note and SAP's resolution is the same. The note in the resolution below is a generic reason why it has been removed. https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2846912

So basically SAP is saying that everyone in the world must comply to these EU legal requirements. This is how I read it so correct me if I'm wrong

Yes, it looks like that. Some notes will be general and applicable for all versions of SAP.

Best way to apply the note and check. In case of any you can respond back to SAP and get their confirmation.

Hi Graham,

We are using the S/4 HANA On premise 2021 edition (Region : MENA North) and we are able to get the Username in the Long text log as in the same screen that is mentioned in the Screenshot.

Thanks for the reply. We also get the Username but the note has removed the User's name and phone number. Do you get this information in your 2021 version.
