Hello,
In a conversion project (brownfield), we are considering migrating from ECC to S/4HANA private cloud with Rise with SAP. However, we do not want to move the variant configuration structure in the existing systems to the new private cloud. Instead, we will build the MRP structure. Is it possible to transform by excluding the master data structure (variant), what are the risks? What are your comments on how we should proceed?
Thanks for your comments!
Hello @edoymaner,
In a system conversion project (brownfield) it is not possible to exclude anything. It means when you execute SUM, you will move everything that you currently have in your SAP ERP system to SAP S/4HANA. Therefore, any change must happen either before the conversion (if it is technically possible) or after the conversion.
Regards,
Jose M.
