Hi,
I wondering if there is any standard way to consume PIR on planning material with the dependent requirements raised on materials planned with strategy 60. I now it is allowed to consume indipendent requirements with sales order requirements but our customer would like to plan non variable components using the planning material and consume PIRs with dependent requirements.
Thanks
Hi Gianluca,
What is the reason your customer would like to cunsume PIRs with dependent requirments in strategy 60, which is aimed at finished good production based on actual sales orders.
Have you taken a look at strategy 70 - Planning at Assembly? This is different from strategy 60 that it is aimed at planning components from the assembly level. The PIRs are consumed by the dependent requirements in this scenario.
Kind regards,
Rick

Thank you for your answer, the aim would be to collect non variable components of different materials and insert PIRs on planning material (which will be a semi-finished). Once the sales orders are set on finished goods, the dependent requirements on semi-finished goods with strategy 60 would shrink PIRs on planning material.
The advantage would be to insert PIR only on planning material instead of n PIRs on n materials.
Thanks,
Gianluca
