Hi All,

I am working in system SAP S/4HANA 1909. I have noticed a new setting while creating a database table. I am not aware of functionality, significance or usage of that setting. Please help me if you have an idea:

Regards

Changes of configuration data that impact the business processes must be logged due to legal reasons

  • Taxation
  • Competition Law
  • Employment Law
  • IT Security

It is requested from customers by auditors

It is mandatory according to the security standard SEC-257.

However, in some situations logging is still not activated. This has good reasons in most cases, and it is also not recommended to enable logging. To document the reason why logging is not active for a configuration table, the possibility was added to explain why logging is deactivated. The explanation is even mandatory for configuration tables if logging is switched off.
