Evaluation of notes from time recording

fuchsbianca1

In public cloud, we create both internal projects and customer projects. Times are posted to both elements, including location and note information.

How can I as a project assistant / manager evaluate these notes and location details? In the past, this was possible via the app "Projects actuals". Now, the note in particular, but also, for example, item texts, are no longer made available as evaluation elements.

Best regards, Bianca

Thanks for your question.

As suggested in the blog, I have removed tag "SAP S/4HANA Cloud".

Hello Bianca,

The notes from the timesheet are available in the CDS views:

I_TimeSheetRecord and I_TimeSheetRecordLongText

You may create a Custom CDS view to check these entries.

Also, please note the following, I_TimeSheetRecord will only contain the first 40 characters of the note.

The full text is included in I_TimeSheetRecordLongText.

I hope this is helpful!

Best regards,

Eduardo

Hi Eduardo,

Can you please be so kind to clarify, what particular element should we pull up from the data source I_TimeSheetRecordLongText as it only shows three elements as below:

- TimeSheet Record (CHAR 12)

- Language (LANG 1)

- Plain Long Text (STRG 0)

And everytime I add the Plain Long Text, the check tool throws us the error "Field PLAINLONGTEXT ignored: Type g with length 000000 not supported"

How can we either convert this STRG element type to CHAR or what is another alternative to pick up the full-length notes text?

Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Aditya

Hi Bianca,

Please try "Manage My Timesheet", hope they are helpful.

That's exactly what we did.

Our colleagues always go to this app to record their times.

Unfortunately, the notes stored here are no longer displayed as an element in the "Projects - Actual Data" app.

1.) Can I get the note back into "Projects - Actual Data"?

2.) Is there another way to evaluate this note?
