Integration between PM and MM modules

could anyone please who has firm knowledge on integrating between PM & MM modules explain briefly the logic behind integration and the essential topic that need to achieve it ??

Hello Abdullah Emad,

SAP PM is linked in many with MM, I shall not be going in deep but you can go through the following points and search them out in SAP blogs, forums etc. for better understanding.

Some of points are : -

1. Construction type field in Equipment master
2. External Refurbishment process- this process has the involvement of serialization(serial numbers) of materials which in turn are linked with equipment. This ways it's easy to track the In and out of each and every spare part(material).
3. Equipment BOM - this obviously consists of Materials and assembly(type of material).
4. On the SAP screen, during the creation of Task list we provide materials along with the quantity under the components push button.
5. In Maintenance Items under the object list tab we can input the materials.
