L1201 Storage unit does not exist

I have storage unit in LEIN table of 4 digits for eg. 1257.

When I try to display the SU using TCode LS33, it gives me an error Storage Unit does not exist(Check your entry). I have to then enter the whole other prefix digits to make it a 20 digit number for the SU i.e. 0500000000000001257. Then it gets displayed in LS33. After it is displayed, the SU number field shows only 4 digits i.e 1257.

SU conversion exit is 3 in the config and the Length of SU numbers is 20.The external number range is activated for this warehouse with 05 in field NR SU.

How to rectify this issue?

I'm pretty sure that your enhancement MWMK0001 is implemented incorrectly. The enhancement allows to modify standard storage unit number conversion exit. Refer to the documentation of the enhancement in the SMOD transaction.
