Material Master Data Values in Object Dependency

Good afternoon,

Is it possible to use a dependency to assign a value to a characteristic that is taken from the material master data?

I want to create a dependency that takes the EAN/UPC defined in Basic View 1 in the material master and assign it to a characteristic in variant configuration.

Is this possible?

If it is possible, what syntax should I use?

Hello floydaus,

This is very easy to do. You would create a reference characteristics using CT04, and the reference would be to the MARA table and EAN11 field. Please see the below links for what is a reference characteristic, how to create it, and how to use it.
