S4Hana upgrade 2021 query browser excel download

Dear Sirs,

Since the upgrade to S4Hana 2021 on premise the Query browser is now working based on webdynpro. Although it has nice features the customer is not happy with the new export to excel functionality. When exporting in the previous version to excel if the next cell in the column is the same as the one above, The dimension is repeated. In the new version this cell is not repeated. The customer wants to have it in the same way as in the old style. Can this be adjusted somewhere in the system.

Another issue we are facing when exporting to excel is the date format. In the query the date format is ok 26.02.2022 when exporting the date to excel in excel the format is 2022-02-26. We checked the user settings in su03 and also the regional settings on the laptop pc of the user and they are set ok. Anyone a solution for this?

Hi Erwin,

Work around that we found:
1. In SAP, Export to Excel
2. In Excel, Select the cells
3. Home > Alignment > Merge and Center > Unmerge Cells

All of data seems to be repeated but is hidden by SAP telling Excel to merge. We have not seen the date issues you are experiencing.
