What is required to enable software export from S/4HANA Cloud, public edition?

In our S/4HANA Cloud, public edition tenant we have created some custom CDS views which we'd like to export, then import into another tenant, however our tenant type doesn't support the export operation.

What is required to enable this feature?

Hello Michael.

Maybe you are trying to export software collection from the Development Tenant (100) to the TEST system. But in Partner Demo you don't have the TEST system to export. If this is your case the tenants included in TDD for partners (8012331) are the following:

• SAP Identity services which include:

• SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) to create and maintain users for SAP CBC and SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
• SAP Identity Provisioning Service (IPS) to synchronize users between IAS and the managed systems.

SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC) used to activate and configure the two SAP S/4HANA Cloud tenants. The activation includes the scoping, finance settings, and organizational structure.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition with one system and two separate tenants

• Partner Demo Customizing Tenant for all the configuration, test, and demonstration activities.
• Partner Demo Development Tenant where the newly released ABAP Cloud environment is available for development. The development requires a local installation of Eclipse and ABAP Development Tool.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, we are a partner and have provisioned a partner demo environment. We have created the CDS views in the customizing tenant; it is not possible to create them in the development tenant.

What we are trying to prove is that we can create content that can then be deployed by us to new S/4HANA Cloud, public edition customer tenants. Do you know if this would be possible, or is this only supported in a customer's own mutli-tier dev-test-prod environments? We realise that the public cloud environments are limited, we are just trying to understand how we can operate (if at all) in the public cloud. We are more familiar with on-premise SAP.
