What is source of Higher level item category for NORMAL item

Dear Experts,
Could you please suggest me on the below.

We have item category like below, this is normal item not a free goods or any her special one.

Delivery type ZLF + Item cat group NORM + High lev item YTAN = Item cat YTAN

When create delivery YATN is determined i would like to understand what is the hihger level item category source.

Hello

Higher level item category is the item category determined for higher level item based on customizing table or entered manually.

If you work with sales BOM process , or free goods with separate item for free goods then lower level item category can be setup to be determined based on higher level item category.

Also keep a note- Once you create delivery from SO then SO item categories will be copied to delivery item

catgeories. Here, there will be no further delivery item category determination.

Yes it copies item category from SO but from where higher level item category is choosen

Higher level item category is item catgeory for higher level item. It is also determined based on same tabel T184.

What is your doubt here?

Predominently yes but not necessarily so. You can have different item category in delivery based on copy control configuration

Can you please let me know where I can setup to have different item category for delivery than those coming from the SO?

I could not find a setting in copy control for delivery. I see such setting in the copy control from one sales document to another sales document, but not for the delivery copy control.
