Dear All,
BOM Structure ....
FG - MRP Type - X0 ( Advance planning tick mark is checked ) ( This FG contains below SFG )
SFG - MRP Type - X0 ( Advance planning tick mark is checked )
*************************************************************************************************
above SFG contains below structure
Raw - MRP Type - PD
Raw 1 - MRP Type - PD
SFG1 - MRP Type -X0 ( Advance planning tick mark is checked )
***************************************************************************************************
Above SFG1 contains below structure
Raw 2 - MRP Type - PD
Raw 3 - MRP Type - VB
****************************************************************************************************
( Demand is given for this FG in the form of PIR's )
Question - Now when i run MRP live at FG level ( MD01N)....
System is planning only this FG ...
SFG error message - Product SFG in location XXXX could not be planned
Further materials ( Raw, Raw1, SF1, Raw2 & Raw3 materails are NOT getting planned )
*****************************************************************************************************
If all materials are marked with X0 with advance planning check mark ticked, then all materials are getting planned in MRP live without any issues.
Is this the standard behavior of MRP live ....
PS: Please revert if required more info/clarification.
Thanks
Dear Caetano & All,
Is it mandatory to mark all levels of BOM with X0 for planning.
I cannot plan raw materials (Procurement type - F) with MRP and FG & SFG's (Procurement type - E) with advance planning ?
Any input will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello
You can plan raw materials with MRP. You can also plan a set of Finished and Semi-Finished materials with MRP and another set with PP/DS.
The main restriction is that, if you want to plan a semi-finished product with PP/DS, then the finished product above it should be also planned with PP/DS.
Regards,
Caetano

Once again thanks for response. So you mean, we need to separately plan the materials by implementing this badi (MRP_DISPATCHER_BADI)
If we plan separately, will FG demand flow to SFG and raw materials, since as mentioned in my initial question, only FG is getting planned without implementing Badi.
Once again thanks in advance for your reply.
Hello Caetano,
As mentioned above, in BOM structure,my FG & 2 SFG's are marked with X0 MRP type only, rest all raw materials are marked with PD and VB MRP types ...
Demand of FG i.e dependent demand is not getting flown to SFG's and ROH's.
Any further inputs please ...
Thanks
Thanks Caetano for speedy reply ... I could not find report /SAPAPO/RRPLOG1 in the system .... I found this report /SAPAPO/SAPRRPLOG_SHOW ... But same is not displaying any logs. Any further help would be highly appreciated.

Hello
I wrote the following blog, which explains what you can check in this kind of situation:
https://blogs.sap.com/2018/09/06/what-can-i-do-if-mrp-live-does-not-plant-a-material/
As it is happening for PP/DS, I suggest you to run report /SAPAPO/RRPLOG1 and check for errors.
Regards,
Caetano
