Written Down Value method in SAP Business One

Dear Expert,

we are using version SAP Business One 10 PL:01 SQL version. Trying to upload a fixed Asset opening balance.

Client, existing they were followed WDV method. Please advise us, which depreciation type should we configure.

As per the SAP Note Declining Balance Method. But I don't understand why the remaining life is to be mentioned.

In Declining Balance Automatically Change To: None

If I put the remaining life random value 999. Depreciation shows negative.

Please guide us.

I hope you have checked SAP Note 941164. This does not mention anything regarding the Remaining Life.
