A year ago, we were placed on the same road by circumstances out of our control. And while we were getting used to all this, our Human Experience Management Team @Globalization Services never stopped delivering solutions to help implement the emergency measures that Governments issued to help their citizens and economies cope with this crisis. Our work became essential in keeping essential business continuity going on.
A little bit of peace of mind
Suddenly, we were not delivering compliance, but changes needed for keeping countries functioning. We were delivering peace of mind, using new interaction forms, with greater speed and agility, making sure our customers and partners could focus their work on mitigating the effects of the pandemic. We did not anticipate working on the same post for almost a year, or updating it at peak times, on a daily basis. Certainly, the scope was not dictated by us, but by an emergency that kept changing.
A challenge with great lessons
The unprecedented situation has taught us incredible lessons at all levels, the greatest humanitarian lesson, the resilience of our ecosystem, the value of prioritizing actions, the power of communication, just to mention a few.
The challenge in front of us was huge, but not unsurmountable, because we have decided to respond to this pandemic as a cohesive unit - from Partners to Customers to the entire SAP Team - supporting one another to comply with the government guidelines and measurements.
Our way moving forward
As we close the first quarter of 2021, the situation has changed. Governments and countries are finding ways to reach the steady state, slowly but surely, the vaccines distribution has begun in certain countries, and the speed of COVID-19 related legal changes is slowing down. Still, there is much to do before coming to a sense of controlled return to normality.
