Hi everyone! Hope you are doing well. Excited to write this blog to cover the first half SAP SuccessFactors 2024 release! Have a look at the “What’s New Viewer” for the full release notes and all of the details for everything we are delivering.

New Local Version – Slovenia

With this release we are excited to now provide the ability to run SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll for Slovenia. This now brings our localized versions to 51 native locales. (See the full list on our localization site with a cool interactive map). We also have five additional partner countries available as described in SAP KBA 3031216 - Employee Central Payroll: Availability of Partner Local Versions. EPI-USE has localized Peru, Vietnam, Denmark, Namibia, and Angola.

Our strategy is to deliver local versions we offered on-premise based upon customer and prospect demand so more to come for localizations. We also have a high interest from various partners to continue to localize more versions.

Pay Statement in Joule

One big area of emphasis at SAP SuccessFactors across the suite is to embed activities "in the flow of work" or where it is quick and easy for employees to access. With this release we are happy to provide the ability for employees to use Joule, SAP’s AI copilot, to access and review their pay statements in a simple and conversational way. This allows employees to easily access their pay statement data, such as a pay statement summary including the pay date, payout amount, and gross amount. They can also directly access the pay statement as a PDF and any payment history from active employment. Using natural language, users can ask Joule to display payment information or pay statements for a certain date, month, or year.

Identity Provisioning Service for User Creation

Based upon customer request to simplify user creation, we have added the ability for new customers to use the Identity Provisioning service in SAP Cloud Identity Services to create, update, and delimit users in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll instead of using the User Creation Report. Note: As of this release, this option is only available to new customers as there is no migration of existing records for customers who currently use the user creation report. This particular request came from an influence request Customer Community Idea 277147.

Configuration of Pay Statement (direct)

A new scenario is now available in Cloud Integration Automation Service (CIAS) for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll: “Configuring Pay Statement (direct) Integration”. The guided workflow contains instructions for manual and automated tasks to enable easy and quick integration configuration setup for pay statement (direct) integration including the required OAuth configuration. This will make it easier for customers to enable or migrate to the recommended pay statement (direct) integration for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
