Best Practices for CSF custom fields

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know which are the best practices related to CSF custom fields of the HRIS standard elements?

I've been researching about this, and I've found two opposite instructions from SAP. I have this KBA '2765271 - Using Custom Fields in CSF Data Model' saying that "When you use the same custom-field on two countries, the field must be maintained with the same configuration on both of them", while on another hand, the 'CSF for Employee Central' guide says that "The custom fields can be delivered for more than one country/region, and you can configure them differently for each country/region."

I've noticed some validation problems with this, some "strange" behaviors like the system allowing different use of the same custom-field in different CSF elements resulting in integration issues, then I've applied the KBA. But the guide says the exact opposite.

In the end, what is the correct use for the CSF?
