Data Replication Error

Hi,

When an employee was hired to a position in SF, an data replication error was raised when propagating to SAP.

We observed that the system is trying to update the previous position holder of the position which is causing the system to error "Change for person extends too far in the past". The error message is not for the employee being hired but for the employee who was the position holder of this position.

For Example:

The position 2001234 is held by an employee 01555 from 15/05/2017 to 06/07/2018 and the employee is terminated from 07/07/2018(the change date was 2018).

And an new employee 01975 is hired to position 2001234 which is vacant as of the hire date 02/01/2019(Change date in 2019).

But when the replication happens, it is erroring out. And the error is due to SF trying to update employee 01555.

Is this a standard behavior or any notes exists which resolves the issue.

Thanks,

Hi,

Please try to delimit the position object relationship to the previous employee in OM SAP .Then It will get updateed for the new hire .Use transaction code PO13 and PO10 to delimit the end date with that previous employee .

Hope this works.
