Hi colleagues,
We have a customer implementing S/4HANA private cloud - greenfield and SAP Success Factors HCM Suite, so their integration strategy is Mulesoft platfrom, so do we need in addition to Mulesoft BTP integraiton suite as a mandatory layer?
Regards,
Slavisa
Hi Slavisa
What you would be getting with SAP Cloud Integration is the integrations between S/4HANA and SuccessFactors already implemented and immediately available as part of the license. Also, the connectivity between the integration platform (public cloud) and the ERP system (private cloud) is a solved problem (Cloud Connector).
But is it mandatory? No. Integration between S/4HANA and SuccessFactors is done using public APIs, so it can also be implemented using other platforms, including MuleSoft. The developers will be starting from a blank slate, though, and this comes with a cost.

Morten

Yes it is not mandatory, unfortunately 🙂

Thanks Piotr.
But we can not claim that it is mandatory to use SAP BTP Integration suite

Hi,
SAP Cloud Integration fits better to S/4 and SF with all standard/predefined content and adapters so I would challenge Integration Strategy. SAP CI is also recommended tool for above systems. At the end you can also compare the cost of implementation etc.
