How to publish existing EN to LMS (convert to SCORM)

We have created a content library over the last year and a half. The original intention was to use the EN's as training through SuccessFactors LMS but we didn't have our LMS up and running at Go Live. We are now working on having folks use LMS but are not sure how to get our current EN content in a format that can be consumed by LMS. We know it needs to be in SCORM format but is it possible to convert our existing material to this format or do we have to create new content to do this?

Hi Heather,

Yes, you can publish existing content to SCORM and import into your LMS.

Copy and Paste this link (https://enable-now.sap.com/ic/wa/ext/~tag/published/index.html?show=group!GR_F8BA0FC968CD2EB9#group!...) which will take you to the Info Center that contains information on SCORM and publishing.

You'll have to set up the SCORM publishing settings in the Playback Settings and then when you export, depending on the file type, it should pick up those settings. I would have a look at the Preparations for SCORM Export section and the SCORM and AICC Export sections. There are “how-to” walkthroughs in those sections.

If the copy/paste doesn't work, the navigation path is Component Manuals > Producer > Export/Publishing

If you will be doing this type of publishing a lot, you can also set up a Publishing Rule and select it during the publishing process (See the Publishing tile for info).

Hope this helps.
