Is UAT updated with release when production is updated?

Hi......newbie here. Trying to find the correct answer to my question.......

We have 3 instances - development/Preview in non-productive environment, UAT/test in productive environment and PROD in productive environment.

When a release is applied to production, is it applied to just the Production instance (i.e. just PROD) or is it applied simultaneously to the productive environment (i.e. both PROD and UAT in our case)?

Hi Mark, the release is applied to all instances on the production stack which for you means both PROD and UAT.
