Rewards and Recognition Decline Submission Notification

Backgroud: In our rewards and Recognition configuration we have included a custoim workflow for a Spot Award recognition submission to be approved by the Manager and notify (cc) HR. When a Manager clicks the approve button a custom email is sent via the workflow. When a Manager clicks the "decline" button the standard SAP workflow template email is sent.

We want to have a custom email sent when a Manager "declines" a submission, is this possible? If yes how?

Dear Nangano,

Have you tried creating an email config via the "Manage Workflow Email Configuration" to assign a specific document generation template group? Customizations are possible on "Declined", "Sent Back" or "Cancelled" statuses.

Hi Murat,

Thanks for your response. I work with Lynn, and yes, we have created an email config via Manage Workflow Email Configuration only for declined/cancelled workflows to send a notification to the initiator only. A separate workflow has been created for the award rejections and the email template group was assigned to a CC role and the workflow assigned to a business rule to trigger the email notification. We're finding that the standard system notice is still being sent and the email notification is not going to be initiator but to the rejector instead. As a note, the initiator of the award can be anyone in the company as all employees are eligible to submit nominations, so there isn't a specific role to assign the cc notification. Any thoughts on what we should do to ensure the initiator only receives the custom email notification?
