I need help in understanding the selection/setting of unit of measure in SAP IS-OIL. A refinery procures crude oil in barrels @ 60F and the finished products from the refinery are valued in various unit of measure. Example diesel and motor gasolene are stored and invoiced to customer at converted 85F Liters and BBL. While other products are stored and invoiced at natural Mtons.
The pipeline connected to the refinery is charging transportation charges of the same product at 85F & Natural Liters.
I need to know what should be the correct line of action targeting minimum conversion losses in inventory storage and sales.
