Join a learning group and set off on a learning journey to develop "Future Skills" together with SAP customers, partners and SAP-employees.








Together with DSAG Academy and the Future Learning Lab, SAP Training and Adoption offers a Learning Circle Experience for the independent development of important new skills around lifelong learning. Using topic-specific learning guides, small learning groups meet for the joint journey from September to December 2021.

The theme of our learning journeys is "Future Skills". We will work with pre-selected lernOS guides which are available in German and English.

Learning Circle Topics:









  1. Getting Things Done (GTD)

  2. Diversity & Inclusion

  3. Sketchnoting


Objectives:



  • Increase personal productivity and self-learning skills

  • Support a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing

  • Connect learners in the SAP -ecosystem with engaging learning experience


Target audience:



  • SAP Community members, DSAG members, SAP-employees


How you can join the learning circle experience:



  • Sign up and register until September 15th to reserve your spot.

  • Attend the joint kick-off event on September 20, 2021.

  • Choose a learning - guide and find a learning group - or start a new one. Further information on matching and finding learning groups will follow soon.

  • Start your learning journey. The guides include learning materials and exercises as a foundation for your weekly meetings (13 weeks in total).

  • Participate in the collaborative pit stop sessions in tweek 4 and 8.

  • Conclude your learning journey with a joint retrospective before Christmas.

What is lernOS?

lernOS is an open framework for lifelong learning, developed by the German-speaking Learning & Development Community. The core of lernOS are learning guides to specific topics. These guides are ideally worked on with a group of 3-5 people (a learning circle) and in a learning sprint.

What will be the key learnings of the three Learning Circle Topics (Getting Things Done, Diversity/Inclusion and Sketchnoting) and would it be possible to receive further information about how the 13 weeks will look like? Thank you!

  • Getting things done (GTD) is a is a personal productivity system and method developed by David Allen. The method is based on storing, tracking, and retrieving information related to the things you need to get done on context related checklists. So work can get more effective and less stresful

  • Diversity describes the similarities and differences between people, inclusion shows how to appreciate diversity.

  • Sketchnoting or visual notetaking is a creative and graphic process through where you record thoughts with text, symbols, graphics, structures and illustrations.


These learning guides are ideally completed with a group of 3-5 people (a learning circle) and in a sprint-like manner. The learning circle meets self-organized weekly for 1 hour, discusses the exercises called "Katas" and reflects the learning progress.

Are there any language restrictions or career level restrictions to become a part of this learning circle?

Hi Elsa,

The learning circle guides are available in English and in German. The communication language within each circle is up to the circle members.

There are no prerequisites and also no restrictions regarding career level.

I tried to register in the SAP | Learning Circle Experience but I found all selections in the registration form are in German language, Is the program limited to German speaking colleagues? If not how can I switch to English?

hi Abdulla - no - the idea is to have the program in english as well in german. strange - i thought the forms are in english... so no worries - and if you do not like your learning circle set-up you also could switch aftwerwards....

Even after switching to English The drop down menus content still in German not English.

Does any approvals (Manager's approval) needed? What's the time for the group session?  So these are real time learnings unline openSAP?

no approval needed. time invest is ~ 1h for each learning circle meeting (~12 times), homework & exercises (max 1.h per learning circle meeting), as well as the 4 central sessione - so max 28 hours investment in yourself.
