SAP University Alliances in CIS supported by Yuriy Bondar Deputy MD for Analytical Platforms in SAP CIS organized and completed the first workshop in Uzbekistan on business-analytics powered by SAP Lumira.
Overall attended by 25 participants including faculty members from 3 universities and representatives of local SAP ecosystem the workshop was a genuine example of SAP Educational Network for Digital Transformation type of event. Joint participation in the workshop of business and academia helped to bring together and match the needs of the industry and capacity of the educational institutions in their pursuit of building digital transformation skillset of Next-Gen Consultants for Uzbekistanian market.
The event hosted by Tashkent University of Information Technology (TUIT) was opened with a foreword of the first vice-rector of TUIT who emphasized the strategic partner role of SAP for the university and a great p
erspective for future collaboration development, he also expressed the aspirations for organic growth of SAP University Alliances network in Uzbekistan.
Further Dr. Yury Kupriyanov of SAP University Alliances greeted the participants of the workshop and presented new up-to-date University Alliances networked strategy and offering highlighed by such topics as SAP Next-Gen Consulting, SAP Digital Network for Digital Transformation, Skillset blend for Digital Transformation and Digital Academia Network of the CIS region. Then Yuriy Bondar, deputy MD SAP CIS, took over for the next 2 days of the workshop to cover philosophical, theoretical, conceptual and practical aspects of business analytics as well as insights from his professional experience with SAP analytical platforms.
The second day of the workshop was devoted to the most exciting and by numerous evidence the most valuable part – hands-on experience with SAP Lumira. The participants were offered to compete in business-game based on a retail customer case, developed by Yuriy Bondar. For 3 hours mixed teams of faculty members and representatives of SAP local ecosystem were contending in data analysis and visualization to extract ultimate business insights for managerial decision making regarding the operational and strategic activities of a model enterprise. After 3 hours a winning team was determined and awarded an SAP University Alliances participation certificate presented by rector Utkir Khamadov.
At the end of the second day the event was concluded in the best spirit of Academic Innovation Network – meeting of the TUIT-university rector with the representatives of local SAP partners interested in setting up close collaboration with the university to join efforts in educating Next-Gen Consultants.
