Ariba SLP integration with ECC thru PI

Hi Experts!

I want to know how to achieve the integration from Ariba SLP to ECC thru PI?

1. For the connection between SLP and PI,

1.1 Any configuration should be setup in SLP besides the integration type with "Cloud integration polling client"

1.2 for (1) Approved updated queue replicated message for ECC, how SLP know which PI's SOA service will be called?

2. Whether DRF is part of MDG? Any additional license is required for DRF?

3. Whether additional license is required for MDG-S?

can I ask why are you using PI instead of the CIG add-on?

Currently, out middleware system is PI, and don't have the license of CIG.

Hi Liu, CIG does not require an additional license as long as the customer have a SAP Ariba solution, for example SLP.

For a customer to have official support you need to integrate SLP with CIG, there is no need to use SAP PI in that integration anymore and with CIG the integrations are now a PUSH based integration instead of a Polling system (in CI) and SAP PI).

Hi Gabriel,

Do you have a pointer on how to setup bidirectional integration between ERP and SLP. We are unable to syncronize data from ECC to SLP.

Hello Muhammad, if you already validated all pre-requisites (Installation Guide) you can move to the Configuration guide and follow:

Data replication and Configuring ERP section on the left

The integration is based in data from Business Partners (BP transaction) and the replication configuration is mostly done in DRFIMG (config)/DRFOUT(execution) transactions and SOAMANAGER for the endpoints.
