Aggregate Constraints Time Level vs Optimizer Run Time Level

Dear Experts,

I have a question regarding aggregate constraints and the time level at which the is optimizer run.

We have defined the aggregate constraints (Minimum and Maximum Aggregate Production Capacity Usage) at Calendar Week level and the optimizer runs at Technical Weeks.

We see that for full calendar weeks the quantity is split equally across all the days in the week but with split calendar weeks (TWa - 5 days and TWb 2 days) we see that quantity gets disaggregated to the TW with the most days in it (TWa).

When running the optimizer at Calender Week all is fine. We assume that it is possible to model this in this way given the documentation;

Please see the following as an example

  • 29-Apr-24 is a split calendar week

As you can see the 500 is disaggregated to the days in TW32b and not in TW32a

We’ve changed the disaggregation mode for the Capacity Demand and Usage of Production Resource KFs to be equal distribution and use the WEEKWEIGHT attribute as a Period Weight factor.

I would appreciate any guidance on how we can overcome this.

Thanks.
