Permission filter for different roles in SAP IBP

Hello, colleagues.

I have assigned different permission filters directly for business users. Permission filter restricts access by Purchasing Group of products. In business role settings I have chosen Blank for Permission Filter field.

The problem is that these users have combined role: Purchasing Manager and Production specialist_view.

I didn't mean to set any permission filters for production people who have one of these roles as well - Production specialsit_view, that is why the permission filter field in the role is set to Unrestricted.

So I face the problem. If I leave blank field for Permission filter for one role and unrestricted for another - I will get unrestricted access for all users. If I set blank for permission filter for both roles and do not assign users with Business role Production specialist_view to any Permission filter - I get the error as from the note

How could I use combination of different roles If I want to set permission filters only for one of them?

Hi,

did you identify the root cause for this issue?

You can provide unrestricted access in Business Role with relevant attributes and key figure, maintain permission filter specific restrictions.

I would suggest to create new role and assign the permission filter.
