SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and it's 5 Portfolios

Introduction


SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) is basically a Platform as a Service (PaaS) and it takes SAP’s products, services, and solutions, and puts them under one roof.

And when we start exploring on what is SAP BTP? Currently we can see lot of blogs and content explaining, it is a platform containing the below four portfolios.

  • Database and data management

  • Analytics

  • Application development and integration

  • Intelligent technologies


But if we check in sap site  https://www.sap.com/india/products/technology-platform/solutions.html there are no more 4 portfolios mentioned above. We have the below 5 portfolios. Instead of application development and Integration, we now have application development and automation. Data base and data management has been merged with Data & Analytics.

1.Application Development and Automation:


Mainly for Application Development SAP BTP is concentrated on Low-Code/No-Code(LCNC) application development environments. To accelerate the application development SAP Build helps in creation of app's, which are compatible with web browser and mobile device.

With drag and drop functionality you can automate the process and define workflows with the help of SAP Build process automation. In Short those who are not experts in coding also can build an app without writing any code and they can automate the process which is compatible in web browser and in mobile device.

2.Extended Planning and Analysis(xP&A):
