With the help of the
cloud extensions, along with the new application
Status of Support Connectivity, customers who have a small, standard SAP landscape and do not require application lifecycle management (ALM) or IT Service Management functionality, can benefit from some basic services for their on-premise landscape, without installing or upgrading an SAP Solution Manager.
With just the cloud extensions and a direct synchronization of the landscape data and SAP EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) data with SAP's backbone, the following tools and services are available:
- Maintenance Planner
- SAP EarlyWatch Alert
- Maintenance Certificates (manual download and import)
- Remote support services like SAP OS/DB Migration Check or SAP GoingLive Check.
Note: Full landscape management and other application lifecycle management functionality is available with SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM.
Through
SAP for Me, customers will find
Status of Support Connectivity in the
My Landscape application.
Status of Support Connectivity shows the data collection status for the customer’s on-premise landscape:
Both Maintenance Planner and EWA are essential for best service and support, but require input from systems that send data to SAP.
Status of Support Connectivity gives an overview of the data collection status, along with ratings based on this data.
Once users select
Status of Support Connectivity, they can see detailed information in the corresponding application. For systems not yet sending data to SAP, users will be assisted in properly configuring data synchronization.
