The agent’s minimum version remains at 1.0.75, with the following exceptions:

  • Version 1.0.99 for SAP ERP/SQL Database
  • Version 1.0.365 for SAP universe (UNX). The SAP Analytics Cloud agent requires additional setup steps, for more details see SAP Note 3262098
  • Version 1.0.353 for SAP Business Warehouse (BW)
  • Version 1.0.235 for SAP HANA View
  • Version 1.0.248 for File Server

For more information, see System Requirements and Technical Prerequisites.

Regarding supported features and required updates for the integration of SAP BW with SAP Analytics Cloud, refer to SAP Note 2541557 for further details.

Regarding supported features and required updates for live universe access through SAP BusinessObjects Live Data Connect with SAP Analytics Cloud, refer to SAP Note 2771921 for further details.

Please download the latest version of the Simple Deployment Kit from Software Center.

Note: To avoid downloading older versions and potentially exposing users to a vulnerable bundling of the Cloud Connector with SAPJVM, or Apache Tomcat, only the three latest versions of the kits are available to download.

For Cloud agent version change management details, refer to SAP Note 3264839.

Enterprise Planning

Advanced Formulas – supporting the “any” hierarchy parameter

When designing advanced formulas, users can now include a data action parameter that has ANY type hierarchy, without the need to specify a hierarchy for the dimension the parameter is set on using CONFIG.HIERARCHY. This provides more flexibility by choosing the hierarchy to use when running the data action containing the advanced formulas. Note a parameter of date dimension with its hierarchy set to Any cannot be included. (SAP Road Map Explorer)

Data Actions – migration of existing allocation design time

Legacy allocations are currently only available to view and execute. Existing legacy allocations have been automatically migrated to data actions in the folder “Structured Allocations” on system upgrade. The legacy allocation designer has been disabled. New allocations can be created in the data action designer.

Story Design

Descriptions for story calculations

In the optimized story experience, when creating calculations and calculation input controls in the calculation editor, user can now provide both a Name (ID) and Description. If a Description is not provided, the ID will be used instead. This enhancement allows for creating multiple calculations with the same description. (SAP Road Map Explorer)

Improved Linked Analysis with Visualization Drill

In the optimized story experience, drilling up on a chart after drilling down on multiple members will now show the same results whether or not Linked Analysis is enabled.
