Datasphere Catalog can not connect to SAC in the same URL

Hello,

If I go from SAP Datasphere to Catalog -> Monitoring -> Create Connection:

I can connect to the Catalog the Datasphere (DWC) tenant.

Datasphere URL : https://abcdef.eu10.hcs.cloud.sap/

If I have an Instance of SAC in the same URL (linked to Datasphere with tenant link and viceversa),

When I try to add SAC instance to Catalog it says "the system is not a valid SAC system".

Both datasphere and SAC show to me the same UUID.

I try with every privileges (from admin to system owner ) and every combination of URL possible

* http - https ,

* hcs.cloud.sap - hcs.cloud.sap/ - hcs.cloud.sap/sap/ - hcs.cloud.sap/sap/fpa - hcs.cloud.sap/sap/ui/

any guess?

If your tenant was provisioned prior to 2021.03 version then you have an embedded SAC in your DSP but this DSP lacks the new functionalities like Catalog. (Governing and Publishing Catalog Assets | SAP Help Portal)

So if you have the Catalog in DSP then you are in a "new" version of DSP that needs a separate SAC tenant.

Hello Xavier,
I was quite convinced about your answer,
I confirm by following the note "INFRA_DWC_TWO_TENANT_MODE": true

Hello,

If INFRA_DWC_TWO_TENANT_MODE = true, then you Datasphere tenant is in two tenant mode.
Therefore you must have different URLs when switching apps. You can check the link as mentioned here:

Enable the Product Switch to Access an SAP Analytics Cloud Tenant

Hello,

"I have an Instance of SAC in the same URL"

Do you have two separate Tenants for SAC and DSP ?
DSP ordered before a certain date was brought with a embeded SAC (and only 5 Licenses).

I believe is the second, the tenant is only 1, is in our test environment.

maybe this is the limitation as for Catalog the URL is an URL of datasphere not SAC.

(but why it doesn't work?)
