In a Web Planning Query you have to refresh after changing a value to see depending calculations done (totals, %).
Every time the whole template disappears (white screen) and is build up again with the refreshed data.
So if you change a lot of KPI in a query manually, everytime you want to refresh you spend a lot of time looking at a empty screen.
Is there a way to change that, e.g. having some fading ?

Georg
Georg,
Eventually you could achieve fading using javascript in your template.
However it is a good idea to solve the root of the problem:
-> try to improve performance to display web applications faster.

Hi,
This is correct that you have to save data/do some other navigation in web layout to get subtotals etc recalculated, but I have built heavy web applications and even then its generally very fast. Are you running any big planning functions along with saving? In case, it is taking unusually long time in saving (without any major activity other than Save), then you should look for OSS notes. We had this problem initially on SP 8. Which Support Package are you on?
