Hi Guru,
We are in process of implementing the gCTS. While going through official documentation at : https://help.sap.com/viewer/4a368c163b08418890a406d413933ba7/202009.latest/en-US/3431ebd6fbf241778cd... , we found a term called gCTS credential store. Can you please provide more information about this gCTS credentials store :
1. What is this feature ?
2. How is this feature activated ?
3. Is the credential storage present in S4HANA system or is it present is SAP BTP ?
4. Where can we find official documentation about this storage?
Thank,
Sonal Saurabh
Hi Sonal,
the credential store is available in SAP S/4 HANA - not in BTP
You don’t have to activate it.
You use it to provide your Git credentials on the ABAP system to enable the ABAP system to connect to Git when you are logged in.
You can find the documentation in here: https://help.sap.com/viewer/4a368c163b08418890a406d413933ba7/202110.000/en-US/3431ebd6fbf241778cd605...
kind regards
Karin

Hi karin.spiegel ,
Thanks a lot for the confirmation. This is clarified the information.
One more query - Can we use CyberArk to store the GIT credentials and create an integration with gCTS app to read the credentials from CyberArk to perform the authentication process ?
Thanks,
Sonal Saurabh
Hi Sonal,
no, this cannot be done. Credentials have to be maintained in the gCTS App
Kind regards
Karin
Hi Sonal,
just to add to what Karin already wrote: there is also a product called 'SAP Credential Store' in SAP BTP (see https://help.sap.com/viewer/product/CREDENTIAL_STORE/Cloud/en-US) but this is not connected to gCTS. It targets passwords and keys for applications that are running on SAP BTP.
Kind regards
Harald
