HANA XSA WEBIDE - Can't type on SQL Console AND Can't Open DB Table Data

Hello HANA Experts,

I hope you're all doing great !

I am trying to explore a bit of HANA 2.0 SP04 and right now XSA has been installed on top of our DB. I was able to logon to the corresponding WEBIDE. I am facing strange issues w.r.t the following two cases. Could someone help if I am missing something ?

• Unable to write anything on the SQL console screen
  
  I see the following screen, but can't type anything here.
  

  

• Unable to display the data in the DB table using Open Data option

I see the "Datapreview" error after clicking on the following Open Data option

Kindly let me know if there is something that I missing. I wonder if it has got something to do with authorization. Maybe thomas.jung can help me here ?

it doesn't look like the user id you are connecting with has proper authorization to see the data/connect to the tables you need to see.

did you try clicking on the tables section (instead of graph workspaces)? and see if the tables you need appear on the bottom left section (where you can search them by name also)

I did try this. The tables are getting listed down in the left side bottom of the screen. But, the data doesn't appear. Strange. I wonder which role is required that would enable the specific authorization.
