Yes the 12 hour limit exists. By definition automation runs in general should be shorter and repeated instead of one long stretch. Hence SAP iRPA has setting of max 12 hours.
In cases you foresee automation run could go beyond 12 hours, here are few aspects to be looked at:
- We can always trigger new run of automation/bot to carry out same task repeatedly instead of single run performing same task again and again.
- We can break down large e2e processes into smaller manageable subset of tasks and have individual automations/bots taking care of each subset of tasks
