Is BW Bridge needed for BW4HANA

If my customer has BW4HANA and Datasphere, can we connect Datasphere to BW4HANA providers directly(remote tables) or is a BW bridge still needed?

The above help document mentions a connection type of 'BW4HANA model transfer' but no mention of BW Bridge.

Hi,

not required, just connect and do the model import.

The bridge would be required if you want to get rid of your on prem BW system.
