I kindly request more information on the API_BUSINESS_PARTNER for S4HANA ERP systems. According to https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_ON-PREMISE/44e06f22436c43e582db6ccd5250e29b/85043858ea0f9244e10... the service is built with CDS on top of the MDG tables.
CDS has the possibility to enable the annotation @Search.searchable: true and thus have the option to use the OData custom query option ?search.
This would enable developers to use the standard SmartFilterBar basicSearch, which creates the already mentioned custom query option.
Unfortunately my tests against a productive systems returned BAD REQUEST but maybe there is a trick, a note or some switch that we can use to activate the custom query option.
