Not able to create API

Dear community,

i got a problem on step 1:

Here in the tutorial the step is described as:

1. Choose Settings > APIs to provision the API Management capability. This provisioning might take a few seconds to complete. After the provisioning is complete, refresh your webpage.

   The page is available only if you’re provisioning the capability as a first-time user.

2. Choose Configure > APIs > Create to create an API.

But on step 1 in the menu under "Settings" i only got the option "Integrations". I don't see any option called "Create".

I don't understand what's meant with this hint: The page is available only if you’re provisioning the capability as a first-time user.

So at the moment i stuck in this step... Can anybody help me with that? Thank you!

Hi Tobias,

Are you using Trial account? As far as I remember Settings>APIs is not available for Trial account. Virtual Host for API Management is generated by default, it is not possible to set it for Trial account.

So if you already activated API Management capability and assigned Role Collections (APIPortal.Administrator, APIPortal.Service.CatalogIntegration, APIManagement.Selfservice.Administrator, APIPortal.Guest) to your user you can proceed with Step 2 (Configure>APIs). In case you do not have activated API Management capability it could be done via Manage Capabilities and Role Collections could be assigned in subaccount under Security.
