AO - Default connection to SAC

Hello,

We are currently deploying the Analysis for MS Office for SAC Edition plugin to our users. To do this, we created a installation package with SAP Setup (Configuring Files with SAP Setup - SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse - Community Wiki) and distribute it with SCCM. Everything is working fine.

Now, as we are using a single SAC instance, we would like to set the connection to SAC by default for each user. We found that the configuration of the connection is stored in %APPDATA%\SAP AG\SAP BusinessObjects Advanced Analysis\BocSystems.xml. Unfortunately, the documentation (SacConfiguration - SAP Help Portal) does not describe a way to set this connection by default during the installation or we missed it.

Our first idea is to use the scripting capabilities of SAP Setup to copy this file in the directory mentionned above. Unfortunately, the installation of the plugin is done by an administrator user and thus we cannot use environment variables (%USERNAME% or %APPDATA%) available in SAP Setup.

Do you know if we can use a registry key in HKLM to change the default location of the BocSystems.xml file (same way than SAPUILandscape.xml for SAP Logon) ? Or is there another way to set a SAC connection by defaut in the plugin during the installation ?

Regards,

We asked this question to SAP and, as SAP Setup cannot resolve %APPDATA%, adding the BocSystems.xml must be done with a custom script.
