Hello,
We have configured HANA DB backups using the Cockpit. And are facing issues with deletion of backups as per the retention policy. This is causing issues as our drive is getting full.
1. We mounted an NFS share from our Windows server to the SLES server. Here are the permissions of the folder:
2. We configured our log backups and full backups to be stored in this location.
3. We Scheduled Incremental, Differential, and Full backups in the Cockpit.
4. We set the Retention Policy as the following:
As per this, backups older than 4 days must be deleted automatically by the system at 11:30AM UTC. However, the backups are getting deleted from the catalog but not from the file system physically.
Can someone please help us with the troubleshooting steps to ensure that the backups are getting deleted physically as well?
As already recommended from Azharuddin Shaik, please check the following note:

Also, when you manually call the delete backup with file does the file get deleted?
Check the trace after enable the debug level and check deletion issues of the timestamp.
